If on a winter's night a traveler - Italo Calvino I have a feeling this is a book that will grow on my in due time. I did like some of the stories from it but as a whole it just didn't live up to my expectations. I have seen all the 5-star reviews, that is was on the 1001 books list, friends talked about it like some amazing experience, but it actually left me rather cold.
I loved the sad little story of the man on vacation at the beach that unwittingly helps break a man out of jail, and the japanese family sex-scene was quite hilarious. (especially when read next to Murakami's Wind-up bird chronicles)
So for now only 3 stars. I am glad I trudged through it though. One to have ticked off my own personal to-read list.
